Here's the story...
I knew this was supposed to be the first page of Carrie's Diary cuz I'd gotten preview pages digitally from the publisher.
Of course I also ordered a copy of the actual comic from the site:

When I got it the other day, I open it up...no page 1
Page 2 is page one. There is no splash page. Page 2 had been replaced with page 2 from the previous issue, Cavewoman: It's a Girl's Life
That's weird, I though. I mean, the page kinda works as a flashback, but I wasn't sure, so I emailed the publisher.
The email I got back was pretty funny
lots of expletives cuz he hadn't caught it He did post an apology and link to page 1 on the Cavewoman Facebook group page right after I let him know. I'm gonna post the text and link here cuz the picture with Carrie Fulton contains nudity, obviously o_O so FB will probably pull it down in short order, but here it is:
"CRAP! I messed up!
CRAP! In a mad attempt to get Carries Diary out in 2 days to the printer I didn't check the final file set that my production guy uploaded to the printer. First time ever I think that I didn't check them. And then the book arrived we had to get entire book bagged and boarded and shipped in another 2 days - I didn't look inside.
What the hell, am I a freaking ROOKIE? Arggh.
SO, while it "kinda" looks like a flash back - when you get the book, you will see that page TWO of Carrie's Dairy is the same freaking page as page TWO of It's a Girl's Life.
What you should be seeing is page 1 of Diary is actually page 2 and the REAL PAGE one - nobody will see it in printed book form.

I am sorry for this. That book is very cool inside and now it wont be exactly as Devon intended. All because we worked too fast in a small space of time and I didn't do my final look over as I have done since 1994.

(rest assured as I type this and mouthing it out - I am NOT using the word "freaking" ...)
I will also post here until it's removed by a user complaint which I hope doesn't happen, but at least you can see it fast..."
